Lucy's Interview
Thank you to everyone who wrote to say how much they
enjoyed the interview! It was fantastic to get such
positive feedback and Lucy was so gracious and her usual
entertaining self. For those going to her London
concert, it's gonna be a blast! Alas I have to stay put
on Aussie shores but I'm sure my inbox will be getting a
ton of photos coming through. There will be an AUSXIP

LUCY UPDATES
AUSXIP Interviews Lucy Lawless
Lucy graciously agreed to be interviewed in between
working on the Adam Sandler movie "Bedtime Stories" and
preparing for her UK Concert debut in London next
month. Since I personally love The Actor's Studio...we
did our own version with Lucy. It's a wide ranging
interview covering a great many topics including Lucy's
expectations for her acting career, being challenged for
her role on Darkroom, what the fans mean to her and
their support, her singing, acting again with Renee
O'Connor in Bitch Slap and her upcoming movie Bedtime
Stories. Many thanks to Lucy for taking the time out
from her busy schedule for this interview. I hope you
all enjoy the interview - it's Lucy at her candid best.

Message from Adrienne
The following is from Adrienne
Wilkinson:
I do want everyone to know we are trying
to get all outstanding items taken care of as soon as
possible, and due to illness, everything had taken
longer than expected. The winners will be contacted as
soon as possible (very shortly) to finalize thier
payment and ship the items. I would also like to
mention that we had several winners who have not paid or
responded to us at all. We aren't sure if its due to
being unaware of a win, not recieving our emails or if
people are backing out.

LUCY UPDATES
There is a very brief mention of Lucy attending
DWTS and of course Marissa in the Philadelphia Inquirer - 15

Dancing with the press - Covering "DWTS" in L.A., a print
reporter feels like a tiny dancer indeed. <snippage>
Maybe I'm covering the wrong show. Idol gets Stiller,
Robin Williams, and other A-listers.
Who shows up for
DWTS?
Tonight it's Adrian Zmed and Lucy Lawless, almost unrecognizable
without makeup.
<snippage>
Finally Marissa Jaret Winokur, decked out in a Carmen
dress, dances with Tony Dovolani. The normally jaded press
contingent breaks into applause. The judges are not as enthused.

RENEE UPDATES
Criminal Minds Review
-
There is a very amusing review of
Criminal Minds with Renee...
Well. and Well again. I'm tempted to subtitle this
episode, "The Ballad of Doubting Derek" because boy,
howdy, was he ever the sour note for the team this
week. Yes, yes, I know, there's always got to be
someone who plays Devil's Advocate, but sheesh,
D-Man, d'ya think you could give it up once there's
a preponderance of evidence?? okay, open on:
Gabrielle the Bar-er-Renee O'Connor yammering away
on a cell phone (now, all you Xenites out there...
how freaking STRANGE was that? Gabrielle + Cell
phone = a total whut? moment. ) it's dark,
it's stormy, it's the beginning to an uber fic! um,
okay... getting back on track...Check

Battlestar Galactica - Episode Recap
-
Battlestar Galactica: Episode 4.2 "Six of One" Recap
Last week on Battlestar Galactica, Baltar was
whisked away by a cult of ladies who seem to worship
him as a messiah. Meanwhile, Starbuck returned from
being presumed dead for two months, but was under
the impression that she was only gone for six hours.
Though Kara has no clue what happened to her, she's
convinced that she knows the way to Earth. She's
even willing to hold President Roslin at gunpoint to
prove it. Tonight's episode, "Six of One," shows us
why pointing a gun at the head of the president is
an extremely bad idea.

Sam Raimi's Ghost House eyes home entertainment -
Hollywood Reporter 10 April 2007 - The booming
horror genre on DVD is getting a boost with the launch
of Ghost House Underground, a new film acquisitions
company that will extend the Ghost House brand to home
entertainment. The venture will release 12-20 films a
year, mostly through Lionsgate, the feisty mini-major
that has established itself as a force in the horror
field through its "Saw" franchise and "After Dark" DVD
series. Ghost House Underground teams Ghost House
Pictures -- a horror genre company led by Sam Raimi, Rob
Tapert and Mandate Pictures president Nathan Kahane --
with Grindstone, a major distributor of direct-to-video

LucasArts
today announced that its highly anticipated videogame
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed will be released on
September 16, 2008 in the United States, September 17 in
Southeast Asia and Australia, and September 19 in
Europe.
An entirely new chapter in the Star Wars Saga, Star

set to ask the cast and crew how that natural end will
come about.

Dreamwatch Total SciFi - 4 April 2008 Battlestar
Galactica: “We are at the top of our game…”
WARNING: THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS SPOILERS ABOUT BATTLESTAR
GALACTICA SEASON THREE!
Lucy's Q&A is:
How did it come about that Lucy’s supposedly
dead character, D'Anna Biers, would return for the final
season?
Lucy Lawless Well, Ron called me and said,
“We’re bringing you back…”
Ron Moore The story has to do with
‘un-boxing’ D'Anna. There are a lot of people that are
very interested in un-boxing D’Anna because she knows
certain things and there is a long plot that culminates
in what she reveals. It’s a pivot point for the upcoming
season. Once that happens, things change and drive us to
the finale.
Lucy Lawless He told me that it was
going to be a jolly, hockey stick reason - she was
coming back to participate in somebody’s plan. I just
said, ‘Dude, can you keep her vicious?’ What I loved
about her is that she’s the grit in everybody’s eye. I
just wanted to keep her trouble and he said no worries
about that! (Laughs)

MaryD's Ramblings - 2 April 2008
Okay so that announcement yesterday on Michael Hurst's website about Bitch Slap
wasn't an April Fool's Joke :) Or is it still a joke? Who knows and frankly at
this point it's too funny anyway even if it's not a joke...I want to see promo
pics of Lucy in her Mother Superior garb (going to school at the Marist Sisters
College is going to pay off for Lucy)
LOL! Bitch Slap has been confirmed by Lucy...this is part of Lucy's blog post
about it:
I also did a small role as Mother
Superior, alongside the gorgeous, Renee O'Connor in BITCHSLAP, who is a
naughty novice in the convent. She is confessing her dark fantasies to my
character ...Read
more on Lucy's site...
and this was the news announced by
Michael
Hurst on his site:
There's a new movie being made that will feature all four of the Herc/Xena
stars--but it's not a Herc or Xena movie. It's called Bitch Slap. Michael
Hurst is starring as a gangster named Gage and Kevin Sorbo is playing the
role of Mr. Phoenix, with cameos by Lucy Lawless as Mother Superior and
Renee O'Connor as Sister Batrille.
Stunts are being coordinated and performed by Xena stunt double Zoe Bell,
and the film is written and produced by Eric Gruendemann and Rick Jacobson;
Jacobson is also directing. Eric was Co-Executive Producer of Hercules,
Xena, Young Hercules, Jack of All Trades, and Cleopatra 2525, and Rick
Jacobson directed two episodes of Hercules and twelve of Xena.
Filming is currently in progress in California.
