Xena:

Let out the whoops and hollers: Xena is back for a sixth season. When we last saw Xena (Lucy Lawless) and the faithful Gabrielle (Renee O'Connor), the story arc leading to the fifth season's finale explained how Xena and Gabrielle attempted to trick the Fates into bringing about the end of the Olympian order, and how their plot failed. Ares, thinking they were already dead, secretly encased their bodies in tombs of ice. Twenty-five years later, Xena awakens and is able to free herself and Gabrielle, and learns that Eve, the infant daughter she left behind, is now a ruthless warrior named Livia. Meanwhile, Xena and Gabrielle triumphed in their final showdown with the Olympian gods.

This season will address the loose ends raised by last year's plot lines, as well as deal with what happened to Xena's and Gabrielle's families while they were asleep for 25 years. We'll also learn Eve's destiny, the fate of Ares, and what creatures of mythology arose to fill the void left by the gods. Look for two episodes to take place on the North American continent.
