Sick kids melt Xena's heartShe might play the toughest warrior princess this side of Mt Olympus, but the sight of sick children at Auckland's Starship hospital touches the heart of actress Lucy Lawless. The star of television's Xena Warrior Princess, known as a great supporter of the hospital, launched yesterday the third Starship appeal.
Last year's raised about $ 200,000. The Starship Foundation's appeal raises funds through the sale of $ 3 clip-on "Starbears" sold through the ASB Bank, The Warehouse and Starbucks during this month.
