Lucy Lawless Donates $200,000 To Starship
A celebrity couple have made an amazing $200,000 donation to Auckland's Starship Hospital. Actress Lucy Lawless and her producer husband Rob Tapert gave the money to top up the hospital's appeal for a CT scanner.
Starship Foundation spokesman, Andrew Young says despite two years of fundraising, the hospital was short of reaching its $1.7m target.
The machine will enable thousands of children to have scans at the Starship, rather than be wheeled over to Auckland Hospital.
