It was business as usual ont he set of Xena Warrior Princess in Auckland as they began shooting the new series only days after news broke that star Lucy Lawless was pregant.
Australian fans are delighted. Mary Dee, who runs the Australian Xena Information Page on the internet has received thousands of good luck message to be passed on to Lucy.
"There was some initial shock, but most of us are really happy for her," Mary tells me. The show has a hiatus in August and the baby is due in October. Lucy's husband, Rob Tapert, is the show's executive producer so Lucy shouldn't have any problems at work.
