ROC News

The following is from Sharon Delaney / Official Xena Fan Club

Several fans have asked whether still photography will be allowed during the weekend, and of course the answer is YES (including Renee O'Connor's question and answer session). However, during Renee and Tim's performance in the play we are going to request that no photography be done since this is a theatrical performance. Hope that works for everyone, and for those still not signed up to be with us in London, below are the basics about the convention. Tickets are available at:

The Bard's Corner / The Next Chapter

I am very pleased to annouce the addition of Felioness to The Bard's Corner & Next Chapter

  • Added Family (Gen Fic) by LC Simpson (Felioness)
Heroes come in all shapes, sizes and...species. Based on actual events, this is a cat story from a different perspective. The tale takes place in North Carolina in the 1960's and is lovingly dedicated to my mother and a well loved family member named Snowball who
taught me that cats are more than just pets.
  • Added The Rainbow (Poem) by LC Simpsons (Felioness)

Xena Movie News

  • It seems quite a few people have been getting excited (judging by the emails I've received over the weekend) when Yahoo Movies posted that a Xena movie is imminent. :-) So far nothing has been set, the Yahoo Movie site is just repeating what the Xenaverse has known since the Official Xena Convention in Feb 2003. Unfortunately there is nothing to get excited about. .

  • There is a tiny mention of Lucy in an article about Prem Raja Mahat. Mehat is one of Nepal's best-loved folk singers. He has been described as the Bruce Springsteen of Katmandu It seems he knows Lucy. The excerpt from the article says: In a photo near the stairs, he wraps an arm around an armor-clad Lucy Lawless, the New Zealand actress better known as Xena, Warrior Princess. The same image fills the inside cover of his latest album. (I bet his sales go up from Xenites wanting to get a copy <g>)

  • The following is from The Dallas Voice Community Newspaper - July 2003
    Xena battles The Boogeyman
Everyone’s favorite warrior princess may finally be meeting a foe she can’t beat: the boogeyman himself. Xena’s Lucy Lawless has signed on to co-star in The Boogeyman, a thriller currently shooting in her home country of New Zealand. Along with Lawless, 7th Heaven’s Barry Watson stars as a young man returning to his childhood home to try to overcome traumatic, boogeyman-inspired events that took place in his bedroom. Not to be confused with the schlocky ‘80s series of Boogeyman movies, this fright-fest comes from Sam Raimi’s (Spider-Man) new horror production company, Ghost House. Raimi used to executive produce Xena, and he’s also got a horror-picture pedigree — he was responsible for such scary movies as The Evil Dead and Darkman.

A message from Wordee:

I've had a lot of people write to me about recording some of the newer fanfic and uber that's been written since my retirement from taping audio fanfic. Therefore, for a limited time, I will again offer my
services to record any story you'd like to hear.

Here's the good news: I will be recording all the stories digitally. No more tapes -- from now your masters will be on CDs!

Each master CD will cost $120. You can estimate what will fit on a CD by checking the story document in your word processing program under 'word count'. Look for 'characters without spaces'. Approx. 58,000 characters without space fit on one CD (this is just a means to estimate. If your project takes more or less CDs than estimated, final value will based on the actual amount). All stories must have written permission from the author before they can be recorded.

Master CD recordings can be ordered individually, or through consortiums. If you'd like to know how to start a consortium, feel free to ask me. If you'd like to know about existing consortiums, feel free to ask me that, too.

I will be offering this service for a limited time, so get your orders in now! Just email me at

  • For those wondering why ROC has gone back to blonde - it's for the "mockumentary" (Reality eXtreme) she is doing for Creative Light Entertainment. Not for a Xena movie as many have hoped for...yet.
  • There are also rumours going round Renee could be involved in a series produced by Creative Light Entertainment but that was the scuttlebutt at Comic Con. Time will tell if this is true.

The Bard's Corner

The Ugly Americans News

Lucy reveals what her role is in the movie from the Out Magazine - August 2003 Issue

  •  In "The Ugly Americans", I'm playing the female Frank'N'Furter character, a sort of S/M madam.  Why does it happen to me, Michael?  I have this culty, weird sexual persona that people have imprinted on me.  I live in a nether region of the entertainment industry.  It's very fun, and it really has legs.  But I'm so straight.  I'm so boring.

Lucy News

  • Lucy will be appearing in a new movie that is currently being filmed in New Zealand called "Boogeyman". It's a supernatural horror film. Boogeyman is about A young man (Watson), emotionally traumatized by memories of terrible things he experienced in his bedroom as a little boy, decides to return to the house he grew up in after the tragic death of his father to try to face his fears of that bedroom; fears of a mysterious being that could merely be a figment of his imagination that the experience might help him work out. Unless, of course, the Boogeyman is real... It's been produced by Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert & Ghost House Pictures.

  • The following is from Sharon Delaney
It's in the very early stages, but, on the chance that we actually get to pull this off, I would like to collect photos (emailed jpgs, not actual pics) of locations and screengrabs of scenes shot at these locations. What we're hoping to do for Kit #7 is go to the various locations with Lucy and Renee and have them talk about shooting there. Sort of "Coffee Talk on Location" <G> And I'd like to have printouts of the scenes to refresh their memories. So, the more stuff I have, the merrier! I've bookmarked the pages of cr's New Xenaland page, Bevis King and Adrian Petford. If you think of scene and want to relate it to a location photo on one of their pages, just describe which location photo it goes with and on who's page. And please include the episode title of the scenes.
Many thanks for any help you folks can give me.
