10 years ago a horror was unleashed on the United States and I doubt anyone on this planet isn't aware of the significance of this date 9/11. Lucia drew some artwork soon after that horrendous day that pays tribute / remembers those that lost their lives on that day.

The Xenaverse has some spectacular artists and one of the best is Lucia (aka Lootcha). September 1999 was the year we were introduced to two very animated characters - Little Xena and Little Gabrielle. I fell in love with them the moment I saw them and the Xenaverse was entertained us with their antics. Lucia went on to draw some INCREDIBLE art of the bigger versions of Xena and Gabrielle and other characters.

Lucia has sent in her revised versions of Little Xena and Gabrielle in English as well as her native Portuguese. There are 53 comic strips which you can enjoy (and there are some in French as well).

Today's featured artist is Lucia Nobrega. In 1998 I received an email from a Brazillian Xenite who asked me if I wanted to see some artwork she created. I fell in love with Little Xena and Gabrielle and they became (and still are) beloved characters in the Xenaverse.

Lucia is a supremely talented artist and a friend and I'm stoked to be able to showcase her artwork here on AUSXIP since 1998.

Lara Hart from the UK recently binded all of Lucia's little Xena and Gabrielle comic strips and sold them for charity (with Lucia's blessing).

Lara raised $420 and donated the money to the Anita Ellis Foundation at the recent 2010 Xena Convention.

Each booklet went for a $10 donation but some kind souls gave more and thus the total amount raised was more than expected.

Lucia has created a new comic strip - Little Venice meets Little Xena and Gabrielle.

What amazed me is that Little Xena and Gabrielle have been around for 10 years! Wow how time flies :)
