Xena CD, DVD & Video News
Sharon Delaney has responded to this by saying: that she was told by Rob that Lucy, Renee & Rob DID record the commentary. So at this point it's a wait and see job about whether we will
get to see/hear the commentaries for the three episodes of Season 1:
Sins Of The Past -- Lucy, Renee
Callisto -- Lucy, Renee, Rob
Is There A Doctor -- Lucy, Renee, Rob
What's interesting to note is that Anchor Bay is the distributer rather than the company creating these DVDs.

The following is from Sharon Delaney/OFC - Renee's upcoming movie "Diamonds & Guns"
Renee talks about the plot of the movie: The character I play, Ashley, is a dancer who drags her friend with her to Vegas because she has an audition to play a "cat." She thinks
she's auditioning for a production of the Broadway musical. The show turns out to be "Kittens."
The movie is a romantic comedy about two ladies who end up in Las Vegas and find true love. One's an American, the other's a New Zealander. Bria, the New Zealander, played by
Helena Beaven, is about to be deported and is trying to stay in the United States. (to be continued)

Perfect Possibilities to Play Andy Dick's Moms
Now that word has hit the street that Less Than Perfect is casting the lesbian mothers of resident odd duck Owen (Andy Dick), every ambiguously gay duo in Hollywood ought to be beating a path to the ABC witcom's offices.
But before producers hand over the plum parts, perhaps they should review our list of unusual suspects. Some of these tag teams, you have to admit, have always seemed queer as folk.
[long list snipped]
Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Connor: We know — the Xena gal pals are way too young, not to mention fine, to have produced a child as old and, um, unique-looking as Owen. But if Will & Grace can
fool Emmy voters into thinking it's worthier than this endearing little show, then surely this endearing little show can dupe viewers into buying the lookers as Owen's red-hot mamas.

Update from Sharon Delaney about tickets for Renee's upcoming London Creation convention.
The original plan was to send them with one of our employees who was making a trip to London and have him mail them there. It didn't work out. An e-mail will be sent to each customer who
has ordered tickets with us specifying they are to pick up an envelope with their ticket package at the door.

- The next Official Xena Fan Club kit will contain an on-camera interview with Renee about her upcoming movie Diamonds and Guns. That will be kit #7

ROC - Comic Con 2003
ROC News
- For those wondering why ROC has gone back to blonde - it's for the "mockumentary" (Reality eXtreme) she is doing for
Creative Light Entertainment. Not for a Xena movie as many have hoped for...yet.
- There are also rumours going round Renee could be involved in a series produced by Creative Light Entertainment but that was the scuttlebutt at Comic
Con. Time will tell if this is true.

Burn Relay 2003
12 June
The following is from Sharon Delaney/Creation Entertainment:
Renee will begin filming an independent feature-length film called "Diamonds and Guns" early this summer. It will be shot in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Directed by Chris Dollard, with a script
by Dawn Higginbotham (from a story by Dawn and Helena Beaven who are producing their first full-length film), it is a comedy about two friends -- from America and New Zealand -- who go to Las Vegas to find true love. It is
being shot digitally with an eye toward film festivals and future distribution.
Renee said, "I chose this script out of all the ones I've been looking at because it was one of the funniest I'd read. It has an energy on the page which I hope translates to the screen and the audience. It came to me by way
of Aaron Morton who did the lighting on "Dangerous Prey," the Xena episode I directed. Aaron did the lighting on a movie called "Nemesis Game" and introduced me to the guys who wrote, produced and directed that movie. They
in turn introduced me to Helena. It all began with Xena."

The following is from Sharon at Creation Entertainment:
-
Lucy and Renee: The Early Years videotapes are in house and are being mailed in the next two days. When Lucy and Renee first began appearing at our conventions, I thought it might be
a good idea to videotape them -- just to be able to look back and reminisce. So, I went out and bought a camcorder. Lucy and Renee thought it was a good idea, too. And they got copies of all their conventions. When we asked if
we could release that footage, they agreed. It's time to share with all the fans that weren't able to attend at the time and the newcomers who missed out. The camera is a little shaky at times and the color isn't spot on, but
the excitement is all there.
THE EARLY YEARS videotape: Available from Creation Entertainment http://www.creationent.com/xena/ NTSC - $29.95 USD
PAL - $37.97 USD

The following is from Renee via Sharon Delaney:
Thanks to all the fans that came out on Saturday to support myself and the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation. And thanks also to the people who have been sending money to support their charity work. The guys at the Burn
Foundation were happily overwhelmed with the response. I had such a blast being a firewoman leading a pack of 25 fire trucks for the day throughout Los Angeles. It's a little bit different sitting with the real heroes. A
humbling experience. I'm hoping to do more work for them in the future.
Renee
Also Fifthd mentioned in his report what Renee will be doing workwise:
Renee is currently working on an independent film. She says it's a 'dark comedy'. She isn't going to do Shakespeare this summer because of this film but that doesn't mean she isn't going to do it next
summer (too early to tell). She plans on directing a film based on a book. She didn't say what the book was about but that it's going to happen down the road. I gather that meant next year since she's really busy this year.
She's still going to Europe for the Strong Women of Sci-Fi convention.

There's
a pretty cool story behind this image. Wendy Sparks - the wonderful photographer who has taken some wonderful photos for Creation (you
can see some of her pictures on ausxip) was at this relay. She asked Renee to pose on the bike. Renee being generous, sweet and just a downright nice person agreed and Wendy went to
work in getting all sorts of clearances for Renee to sit on the bike. The end result is pretty cool - ROC fans get to see her on a bike! I say that's a pretty nifty thing for Renee to do and for Wendy in organising it. Onya
Wendy and Renee!
Also another special thing from Wendy - she's auctioning off a hat, autographed by Renee (with the date on the brim) on ebay and all the money will be going to the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn
Foundation. Check it out: Ebay - Autographed
Hat
