(Back to Aussie time)

Dragon*con Pictures

Claire Stansfield at Dragon*con 2001

I took a ton of pictures at Dragon*con - I was shutter bug happy. Over the next few days I will be uploading them. One of my favourite photos is of Claire Stansfield who after she finished at the panel looked directly at me and I captured this shot (Many thanks to Maggie who cleaned it up for me while I was still in the US). I will be posting the full size version of this soon.

Lucy appears in the Oct/Nov issue of Pavement Magazine in New Zealand
This bi-monthly New Zealand magazine is generally a more alternative read, usually featuring lots of up and coming NZ artists - musical, dramatic - and has articles which are not only a great read but usually very topical.  This issue has a 2 page article about the concerns surrounding Genetic Engineering and the protests of Alannah Currie, who got NZ celebrities to put their concerns on t-shirts and publicize it.  Lucy was among those who put up their hand in an effort to voice their concerns over this very topical issue.  Her t-shirt reads 1+1=3 stop genetic engineering now.  The article itself goes into how and why Alannah thought of and saw her efforts through with this unique awareness raising campaign. You can order the magazine through Kiwi Attic at:
