WAYS TO HELP THE VICTIMS OF HURRICANE KATRINA

AUCTIONS & FUND RAISING EFFORTS

  September 15, 2005

The devastation created by hurricane Katrina has left thousands of people homeless and pets stranded. Hurricane Katrina destroyed 90,000 square miles along the Gulf Coast.

The XWPVS would like to conduct an auction in order to raise money to help the people and animals. Those winning the bids for the auctioned items will have a choice of who they would make their checks out to. They are:

The American Red Cross and The American Humane Association Animal Emergency Services. To learn more about the American Humane Association go to: http://www.americanhumane.org/site/PageServer?pagename=pa_disaster_relief

Among the items to be auctioned is original artwork donated to this cause by the illustrators of the XWPVS. Be advised however that you are only purchasing the artwork, NOT the RIGHTS to use the artwork in other ways, as the artists still own their copyright and are the only ones with the right to use the images. If you would like to use the images for anything, please contact me with the specifics so that I can contact the artist for approval.

With any luck, we may also have autographed photos donated to the cause as well.

At this time I am preparing a specific page for the auction. Please stay tuned for further information.

With thanks,
Mac  email mary.cornwell@ohio.gov for more details

More Auction news - Lucy's Xena Robe with X on the back (givingworks.ebay.com) Highest Bid: $450

This is my LAST on-set robe/coat that Lucy wore. I am offering it here to help again with the Red Cross donations. This particular coat/ robe was seen in the documentary of the making of Friend in Need. Lucy actually wore this coat in both the 5th and 6th seasons that I know of, and she wore it while filming FIN.

A portion of the proceeds will go directly to charity.
Many thanks to Cheryl for the news
