Years ago on a Sunday night...I uploaded my first version of the Australian Xena
Information Page...I gave it 6 months before I lost interest.
It's been a long 6 months :) No fanfare, just uploaded the site with a couple of montages.
I announced this birth on the Xenaverse list (which I had just joined) and got a welcome and a pat on the back from Xenites.
And here we are 23 years later...Battle On!
Xena 25th Anniversary Book News
There are 16 days left to send in your submission for the Xena Book - Xena: Their Courage Changed Our World. SIXTEEN DAYS! After that...it's all over red rover and submissions will close. No exceptions because then I will get to work in creating the love letter to Xena, Gabrielle and the Xenaverse in time for the release on September 04, 2020!

106 DAYS BUSHFIRE EMERGENCY IN NEW SOUTH WALES This morning I was wondering how long has it been since we hadn't had smoke haze and bushfires out of control. So I went back through the Sydney Morning Herald Bushfires blog... I couldn't believe it. 28 August 2019. That's how long the bushfires have been raging - 106 DAYS

NSW Fires Update: The fires are continuing to burn across the
State and across the East coast of Australia.
We had a Canadian crew come in
to join the fight last week and the Americans also showed up.
The Kiwis have been here and they delivered a heartfelt haka on the way back to
NZ.

Many thanks to all those who inquired about my safety with the fires enveloping New South Wales and Sydney. I'm fine - I'm not in the areas affected but Sydney has been blanketed with smoke from the fires that has turned everything a murky orange colour and difficult to breathe. Toxic especially for those with breathing problems. Comprehensive coverage of the fires in NSW (and the other states affected such as Victoria and Queensland) can be found here:

There has been catastrophic fires in New South Wales and Queensland (in Australia) over the past week. The east coast of Australia is on fire.
Spare a thought (and a prayer if you do that) for our Xenites and everyone in the path of the fires. At the moment there has been 170 homes lost and 4 have died. We are experiencing a severe drought in Australia and this has caused everything to be extremely dry and just ready to burst into flames. Coupled that with extreme heat and you get the catastrophe we are experiencing.
The politicians are saying now is not the time to talk about climate change. When is a good time to talk about it?
This is where we are now - Yesterday there was a stat that Australia broke for the first time since records began...we had NO rain on the mainland. NONE. ANYWHERE on the mainland. Roughtly 7.6 million square kilometres. NO. RAIN. BOM spokesperson: "The meteorological team can't comprehensively identify one day in our records where there hasn't been rain somewhere on continental Australia".

all our friends, loved ones, family, and 'Xenites' who came to Macbeth: Thank
you for being in our audience and making the gift of theater a possibility, a
collective deepening in experience. We give our efforts and gifts to you, and
without your open hearts and minds to receive, it would not elevate us all. We
presented Macbeth to nearly 200 high school students and welcomed a sold out
closing show. Thank you on behalf of all the cast and crew.
For me, I can
assure you that this production had a self selecting process, which I held in
grace as it presented its challenges, and still finished the show as a strong
family, with every single individual bringing light, joy, integrity and kindness
to each other. If only you could have seen the love off the stage! It was
remarkable and I'll always be grateful.

I absolutely LOVE this new show starring Ruby Rose. If you have not watched Batwoman, I reckon you should. It's got all the elements of an awesome show and the bad girl of the year has to go to Alice (who is the love child of Callisto and Hope). MUST WATCH TV.
MUST WATCH - Upcoming Movies
I've been waiting for the Harriet Tubman movie for ages! US starts 1 November. Harriet Tubman was a bona fide warrior; tough as nails, brave beyond compare and a true warrior for her people. I can't find a release date for Australia which is driving me crazy. I'm also waiting on the movie about Sojourner Truth but I can't find any info on when that will be released yet either.
