A few years ago, Wishes (Judith K. Parker) read The World's Shortest Stories, edited by Steve Moss (Running Press, Philadelphia, 1998), and challenged fans to write 55-word Xena: Warrior Princess fiction (hosted by The Royal Academy of Bards at academyofbards.org), which inspired the following. -- IQ

The clones gazed at a monitor.

"Wow. To see we’ve had so many lives."

"The actors who played us too." Xena snickered. "Mine’s hair changes now like yours used to."

"Stories, pictures, ‘news,’ gatherings in our honor. Everything immortalized here."

"Yeah, who created this … world. Why?"

"Maybe another me?"

"Mm. Or maybe another god."
